What is an essence?:

An essence is both an internal and external vibrational medicine that contains water, very little alchohol (as a perservative), and utilizes the energy vibration of plants or gems.

HOW DO FLOWER ESSENCES or gem ELIXIRS WORK?

Flower essences and gem elixirs work by dissolving the distance between the human soul and nature, allowing us to come back home. By meeting with the spirit of plants or gems, encoded into crystalline water, we invite our own spirit out to play. Meeting beings of nature, as spirit to spirit, allows us to be reminded of our own energy, our own core truth, and the reason why we chose to be on this earth today. When we reconnect with spirit we heal, we illuminate our problems, and heighten our pleasures.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF MAKING FLOWER Essences OR GEM elixirs?

Most flower and gem essences are made by way of Solar Infusion, harnessing the energy of the sun to code the energetic signature of the plant/gem into a medium of structured crystalline water. Earthside Medicine Custom Earth Essence Blends are made by alchemically combining different flower and gem essences into fresh hand-harvested spring water, then infusing reiki energy, color, sound, and archetypal vibration to complete the blend.

HOW DO YOU KNOW PLANTS HAVE CONSCIOUSNESS?

The practice of Plant Spirit Medicine is an ancestral technology that has been around for as long as humans have existed. As mirrored in nearly all religion and ancient cultural belief, humans are children of the earth in the same way that plants, animals, and fungi are. Thus we are a part of the global ecosystem, or family, which means we are innately connected to the love and consciousness of the world around us. Plant Spirit Medicine is a precursor to herbalism as we know it, and a practice of meeting with the consciousness of individual plants. The practice of Plant Spirit Medicine builds relationships to the world around us, as well as allows us to understand the medicine of the world, and how the world holds us in community. Current examples of this practice include indigenous beliefs of the consciousness of psychedelic power plants such as psilocybin, peyote, of ayahuasca, as well as Pua’aehu’ehu (Fern Medicine) of the Mu ancestors of Hawaii. You can experience Plant Spirit Medicine too, just notice how you feel when you are in a field of sunflowers.. then a garden of roses… then an aspen forest…

DOES IT WORK FOR EVERYONE?

Just like all things, this medicine works for most people, but not all. In the traditional sense, not everyone will find striking results, such as noticing immediate changes in their life or having instant-downloads (which we all admit would be pretty cool… and sometimes does happen). Instead this medicine affects us on a more subtle, frequency-based level, offering changes in perception, what we attract, and how we express ourselves in this life. Some clients have said to me “I don’t know if it’s working”, meanwhile unconsciously demanding more for themselves, showing up more authentically, and speaking their mind more.

WHAT IS A CONSTITUTIONAL BLEND?

A “constitution” is an ancestral naturopathic concept that looks at and identifies the way one relates to their life through creativity, mentality, spirituality, physicality, and emotion. Earth Essences move emotional energy to create more vitality and flow in all areas of your life. Thus a constitutional earth essence blend is a blend oriented towards your “personality type” to soften some aspects and strengthen others to bring you consistently closer to your most whole self. For example, one may have a highly creative nature with a tendency towards anxiety and overwhelm. In this case, the constitutional blend may be oriented towards supporting that creativity with focus and clarity so that the recipient can continue to shine without falling victim to that sense of overwhelm.

DOES SOMETHING NEED TO BE WRONG IN MY LIFE TO WORK WITH FLOWER ESSENCES?

Definitely not, Earth Essences can be gentle enough to be allies during simple transmutations and transformations. However, because Earth Essences are a medicine targeted towards the emotional body, they can also be incredibly beautiful in times of transition, grief, heartbreak, difficult life circumstances, depression and anxiety, etc.

how specific should i be in our consultation?

You are more than welcome to come into the session exactly as you are. Sometimes our work together will simply be about identifying what feels uncomfortable, and working to release the conscious and subconscious tethers that attract us to this energy. This means that you are safe in our guided space to understand yourself deeper, and you don’t need to show up as a neat package.

what if I’m not exactly sure what needs to change, but I know something needs to change?

The instinct is the first step! Working with a flower essence / earth essence practitioner can be a beautiful and gratifying process to clarify what your emotional relationship with the world around you may be. I view it as my role as the practitioner to assist in the exploration of the emotional self and to help guide the process of uncovering your truth through guiding questions. Within our session we can clarify the truth about how you are feeling, how you would like to feel, and what strengths and skills you would like to strengthen.

CAN I CREATE A ESSENCE BLEND FOR SOMEONE AS A GIFT?

Absolutely! A medicine gift is one of the deepest ways to support your loved one and community. Just think of something that you would like to call in for your loved one and we will collaborate to deliver something sweet, special, and potent.

can I purchase a blend that only includes flower essences?

Absolutely! Crystal medicine and other forms of vibrational medicine may not be the healing that you seek, which we totally love and accept here at Earthside Medicine. Therefore, I can create custom blends that access only the healing power of earth allies and plantcestor potions. Sometimes simple is best.

Why are earth essences a sustainable way to connect the earth allies?

Creating a Flower Essence can take anywhere from 1-5 flowers, leaving blooms safe to be pollinated and continue growing. Gem Elixirs only need one gem to be created, this helps restore mines and mining practices by allowing one small crystal, infused in water, to be able to spread that crystal energy to hundreds of people, rather than hundreds of crystals getting mined.

Are Gem elixirs safe to consume?

I make my Gem Elixers with conscious consideration for the chemical make-up of stones, and how they interact with water. Some infusions are made through an indirect method, to avoid health concerns, while maintaining the efficacy of the medicine, while others are made through a direct method of infusion.

how do i avoid taking the wrong essence?

Earth Essences are frequency based, which means if you aren’t at a compatible frequency for a specific essence, that essence will not affect you.
